Carbon Literacy Drive @ The Village School
Date: April 22 - May 2, 2025
On Earth Day 2025, I hosted a 10-day Plastic Drive at school. The Plastic Drive was a success, with more than 250 bottles collected! Students came together to cut down waste and protect our planet.

Carbon Literacy Workshop @ Bahujan Hitay Girl's Hostel, Pune, India
Date: July 18, 2025
Hosted a Carbon Literacy Workshop at Bahujan Hitay Girls’ Hostel, where the students created drawings of carbon footprints and wrote personal pledges to reduce their impact.
It was inspiring to see their enthusiasm, creativity, and eagerness to learn about sustainability.
Carbon Literacy Drive @ San Brisas Community
Date: August 27th, 2025
Had a very interactive workshop with young changemakers at the San Brisas Community. The students learnt about the carbon cycle, the effects of a large carbon footprint, simple ways to reduce our carbon footprint, and wrote pledges to help the environment.
Carbon Literacy Workshops 1 & 2 @ Trails of Woodlake Aspire Center (SEWA, Americorps)
Date: September 17, 2025
Workshops 1 and 2 with the young changemakers at the Aspire Center. The students learnt about carbon dioxide and its benefits and drawbacks, constructing molecular models using marshmallows and toothpicks. They also learned about the carbon cycle and were introduced to the concept of a carbon footprint.
Carbon Literacy Workshop 3 @ Trails of Woodlake Aspire Center (SEWA, Americorps)
Date: October 1, 2025
Workshop 3 at the Aspire center. The students learnt about the 3 Rs: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, wrote pledges about their daily activities to help the environment, and started a Plastic Recycling Drive.
Carbon Literacy Workshop 4 @ Trails of Woodlake Aspire Center (SEWA, Americorps)
Date: October 15, 2025
Workshop 4 at the Aspire center. The students learnt about the various ways they could reduce their carbon footprint, whether through factors such as food or clothes, as well as ways to reduce energy consumption.
Carbon Literacy Workshops 5 & 6 @ Trails of Woodlake Aspire Center (SEWA, Americorps)
Date: October 29, 2025
Final workshop (Workshops 5 & 6) at the Aspire center. The students learnt about what climate change is, and the various harmful effects and disasters that it poses for our planet.
We also collected more than 100 plastic bottles for the recycling drive and calculated that we reduced around 2 kg of CO2 emissions, revised the pledges they made towards the daily environment, and celebrated their carbon footprint journey.
Arbor Day Tree Plantation @ The Village School
Date: November 5, 2025
Taught young students about the importance of our environment, the role plants and trees play in our environment.
We then helped the students plant 20 trees to both highlight the importance of trees in supporting our environment and beautify the school campus.
It was truly inspiring to see the students working together, learning about sustainability, and taking action to make a positive impact on our planet.
Carbon Literacy Workshops 1 & 2 @ Villa Madrid Aspire Center (SEWA, Americorps)
Date: November 6, 2025
Workshops 1 and 2 with the students at the Villa Madrid Aspire Center. The students learnt about carbon dioxide and its benefits and drawbacks, constructing molecular models using marshmallows and toothpicks. They also learned about photosynthesis, greenhouse gases, the carbon cycle, and were introduced to the concept of a carbon footprint.
Carbon Literacy Workshop 3 @ Villa Madrid Aspire Center (SEWA, Americorps)
Date: November 12, 2025
Workshop 3 with the changemakers at the Villa Madrid center. The students revised the carbon footprint and learnt about the 3 Rs: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. The students also learnt how to take care and grow plants and learnt about their importance in our environment and the role they play.
